Oh dear oh dear

The balance of power has shifted. The shadows are falling over the theatre of dreams. The weeds are growing on the concourse.

It's over.

Lol, there are man U fans all over the world so I'm sure there are a few on here, the second goal shows how open they are at the back, & now the third will kill them off 😉

TBH Man U looked vulnerable against Liverpool last week (actually Man U have looked vulnerable all season really), it's just that Liverpool can't score for love nor money atm. 🙄 Man U were always going to get found out, it was just a question of when, not if.

Still early days though. City are looking good, but I think the Tevez saga will create unease and unrest (looks like no-one's backing up Mancini over that one...), and we could see a mini-exodus of players come January. Could even see Mancini leaving.

United have that core stability that Citeh lack. That's crucial in sustaining a successful campaign. It;'s a marathon, not a sprint.

Couple of bad results could well see Citeh wobble and falter. They're not exactly lighting up the Champions League, are they? Just scraping by tbh.

Oh and btw, this game's not over yet....

I won't bother. Forget what I said.... 😆 😳

Man U will bounce back though sure as eggs is eggs. Much as I hate the man, Bacon Face is one of the greatest managers in the history of football, globally. He'll get them back on track.

This'll surely be a season of mad results though. Citeh's 5-1 against Spuds, Man U's 8-2 against Arse, Liverpool losing 0-4 to Spuds (with only 9 men on't pitch, let's not forget...).

This is a devastating result for Man U though. Jeeze. Publicly buggered on your own home turf. 😆

I think the hairdryer in the Old Trafford dressing room will have blown a fuse by the time Bacon Face has finished. I would love to be a fly on the wall.

A club with a credit card debt against one with a fat wallet.

Of course it won't last forever for City but Fergies going to retire soon and then what for Man U?

Where have most of their trophies come from? Fergie.

We only everget into gear after Christmas anyway. If anything I'm surprised we'vd started this well. We don't usually. It's a marathon, not a sprint. When ballotelli is your most stable striker, you should be worried.

I'm going to sit in a corner and have a little cry now. I may be some time 🙁

Not sure why you'd 8-2 be a gooner. Out of the last 7, we've 1-6.

MCFC play as they should do every week being valued at £thatmuch.
It'll not last. They'll finish 3rd.
Well played - though appear to have missed it while in sunny Majorca.

not seen the match or seen reports but yes City are now on their way to ascendancy. It really was inevitable with their spending power. Whether they win this season remains to be seen but yes they will dominate soon enough- who can compete financially?

Nothing ever last for ever Manu domination or City floundering. They have earned their gloat for sure over the years.

Imagine what fergie did afterwards Jees glad I was not there.

United have been more than the sum of their parts for a number of years. Their midfield is ordinary and only Vidic of their defenders is truly good. Can see them finishing third or worse.

Shame there was not the normal 6 minutes of Fergie time - we would have got 10 😀

TOP TIP: Manchester United fans, save money this Christmas by simply turning your "19" banners upside down and presenting them to your City supporting friends and relatives as a commemorative gift of the drubbing they've just subjected you to.

Mind you most Man U fans will probably be talking about how they've supported City all their lives by the end of the season. 😉

'Most stable striker'.

You class Rooney as stable?

What I find funny is a bloke gave you 6 YEARS of service and expressed that he'd like to play for a team that he's loved from his childhood and rather than 'thank you for the 6 YEARS of service and goals' there was viciousness and shit thrown his way.

PLUS you made 60million selling him. I'd hate to be a utd fan. Ungrateful.

you know whom I'm talking about 😉

Any Newcastle United fans in? Care to remind the City fans about the '95-'96 season when they were 12 points clear at the top (hoping the NU fan are in a good mood as they are doing well) 🙂

What i was trying to say is - a few more decent results and we could be still up there at xmas, hanging onto 4th You never know, however after yesterdays game i think Liverpool will be challenging for 4th. Suarez was brilliant from the MOTD footage.

Wonder if there is much truth in the Carroll back to NUFC for 14m rumours 😆

Yeah, as much chance as Torres back To Liverpool... 😀

Carrol was unlucky not to score yesterday. Shooduv had more time on the pitch imo. Pft. Shoould've spanked Norwich yesterday; 3 or 4 shots off the bar, and their keeper makes a truly brilliant save right at the very end. Some great football from Liverpool atm, but just not bloody scoring. Very frustrating. 😡

Just seen QPR v Chelsea highlights. A spawnier win you won't see this season. Terrible, terrible refereeing. Helguson blatantly dived to win the pen, Bosingwa should never have walked for that, and Chelsea had two strong penalty shouts themselves. even against 9 men, QPR were lucky to win that one. They should fear the revenge that Chelsea will exact on them at Stamford Bridge...

Citeh took the pee though din't they? Jeeze... 😯

S'just one game though innit? Yeah, bragging rights for Citeh, but anyone who is writing off Man U already, is an idiot.

That'll include me then 🙂 Had a cracking 3hr ride spoiled only by yet another double chain break. Grrhh. Hence returned home just as Shitty scored ... and from then it was more downhill than FW.

Would rather lose one game by this margin than two by half as many goals. Winning the league is about getting points on the board. Every team (Arsenal of several years ago excepted) is gonna lose now and then. Not worried in the slightest down here.

Elfin, explain how carol was unlucky? he missed the target, thats not luck...

This has been coming for Man Utd, Chelsea should have beaten them a few weeks back & they were slightly lucky that we didn't take our chances last week, defence & midfield giving Fergie problems at the moment!

Impressive from Man City, Very well organised & an abundance of attacking options! I think they will do well!

This is the beginning of the end for fergie. He knows it too. The dynasty of united has been broken. It'll take a few years for the whole thing to unravel but make no mistake, there are fires burning at Old Trafford that cannot be extinguished.

Fergie will be gone by the end of next season and Jose will take over. Then the fun will really start.

That ramifications of that result will be interesting, the next side to visit the swamp might not do the usual sit back & wait to be spanked but be willing to have a go.

Also the ban for another defender will only leave their defence even more unsettled & dodgy.

As for Man City, well, we still don't know about their title credentials as the only team that have pushed them this season is Everton, maybe when they play some of the top teams we'll find out a little bit more about them.... 😉

carbon337, be quiet.

The last thing we need is people starting to think we could finish in the top 4 and putting totally unrealistic pressure on the team and manager. we've had that for 15 years, time to chage the record, its not going to happen.

Lets concentrate on getting to 40 points, then on beating our position last season, if we do those two things, then concentrate on finishing top half.

Elfin. you don't pay 35 million for a bench warmer. something isn't right there...

david silva is just head and shoulders above anyone else in the prem at the moment, maybe even the top player in europe.

it will be interesting to see if city can keep barcelona away from him come the end of the season. i doubt it somehow.

You do if you've just received fifty million quid for Fernando Torres! 😆

But no, something's not right, and needs sorting. We need the Andy Carrol what was banging them in for Nuke Astle, not the nervous frustrated one we've currently got.

Silva is a bit good, in't he? And they've got Nasri too! 😯

Bacon Face isn't a happy bunny this morning....

He;s a confidence player confidence player. he needs to play, and he needs to score. he thrived at Newcastle because he knew he was top dog, thats no longer the case and he won't be enjoying it. Certain players know they can turn it around and start scoring again. Shearer and say drogba being the perfect examples, not so sure Carroll is that confident in his own abilities.
