Looking for a way to organse business cards. Have done a bit of research and CamCard and Ever note seem to be coming out best. I quite like the other features of Evernote as it could come in very handy but wondering if its worth the £35 a year fee or if there are alternatives that people get on well with. CamCard is a lot cheaper but only does cards.
Google doesn't seem to have anything suitable in their drive/goggles apps.
Yes, I'm using the free versions of both of those. Different tools for different tasks, IMO.
Evernote is good for portable notes - shopping lists, notes from meetings etc.
CamCard puts all the details into my phone contacts automatically, so seems the better option for business cards.
I tried EverNote on a free trial, wasn't particulary impressed so binned it. I just manually enter contacts into computer and have them cloud sync to devices
I use evernote for lists - it then syncs across phone, tablet and two macs.
I use Evernote, the paid version, and it's my must-have tool: the first thing I install on any new phone or laptop. It does way more now than just capture notes. However it's not worth paying for just for processing business cards - CamCard the better option here.
Evernote is great, use it all the time. You could use it to store photos of business cards, you could tag them as such, and it would allow you to search for text on the cards. Though if just for business cards there are probably better, by virtue of being more specific, tools for the job.
I use evernote premium and I love it. Shared calendars, lists, notes etc across multiple devices and platforms. It works seamlessly for me.
If it's just to stored business cards I have to agree with Mrblobby that it's maybe not the most specific tool for that purpose, but it would probably work.
I use MS OneNote on laptop and 2 android devices. It also worked well on my Windows phone when I had one. If you have Office, you may also have OneNote installed, but I think that the mobile device versions are free.
It's excellent, I use it for note-taking, recording events, map PDFs, images, etc
cheers guys, giving CamCard a try. Shame it doesnt seem to have a field for linked in and can't see how to add one but will try the premium version.
Thinking of using evernote for a lot more stuff so not just cards. Will see how useful I find the free version first and see how I get on with CamCard.
I've started using Google Keep.
It's good but it could have better links to the Google Calendar.
