Hi, I have an old halogen security light with Pir that I'm replacing with an led equivalent. The old light had a 3 core and earth but the new one is 2 core and earth. The existing wiring goes to s light switch, so I assume I should use the switched live not the permanent live and just isolate the permanent live?
I'll be using one of these so it will be safe:
