just after a bit of sneaky expert help. got this lake district thread going where my mate keeps sending me pics to identify and its driving him mad that i keep telling him exactly where theyre taken. even down to the room number in hotels. all down to the experts on here, but he doesnt know that 😀
hes asking people if i can get data from photo addresses, that sort of thing.

anyways, hes sent me some more, the lakes experts on here cant get them and a bit of digging at his other pics shows he was actually in the cotswolds. so......to carry this charade on, can anyone identify any of these pics please?

I'm guessing the Fire Service pics are Moreton in the Marsh.

Definitely Stow on the Wold. Wife is from that area so she is busy trying to remember the hotel name.

I reckon that's The White Hart (have a look on google streetview towards the church)

or maybe not, more likely be the Old Stocks Inn

I think #6 may be part of the fire service memorial in Stratford.

Pretty sure #5 is Stratford as well, just can't place it.

excellent work stoner, that bit of info has led to pic 3 being identified 🙂
put that into google images and the pic came up as part of a real ale walk near the village. on the other side theres a plaque detailing the battle of stow on the wold, 1646. now thats the sort of thing thats gonna blow his mind 😀

EDIT:

I think #6 may be part of the fire service memorial in Stratford.

that does indeed look to be the case, we're on a roll here, thank you 🙂

I'm sure it's Stratford, especially looking at the reflection in the window. I think it's on Henley St, but I'm not sure.

id guess youre right mate, tried doing a streetview down there tho and no vehicles, so that little avenue of sneakiness is closed off to me.
any googling just directs me to the 'real jester statue' in stratford too.....
i have another plan 🙂

If it weren't the height of tourist hell season, I'd pop down later to have a look!

🙂 I usually have a go at the lakes ones.
I wouldn't have bothered as I've never been to the Cotswolds or SUA, but looking at the photo, I immediately thought it looked like the inside of an antique shop (on left, big glass cabinet etc). So typed Antique shops SUA. clicked images and 2nd or 3rd pic spotted the big letterbox and coat of arms, done.
