I've just punctured two fingers just below the middle nuckle and one is a deep cut 5mm at least, it's hurting like hell and making me want to stick my hand under my armpit then my groin all due to an allen key taking off a pedal and shark teeth worn big ring.
I couldn't find my CK set so used a cheapy, im flinging them out and its not the first time ive done it
I feel your pain.
Gardening gloves are great when venturing near your chainrings with spanners and Allen keys.

Allen don't make cheap hex keys, only very good ones.
Risk assessment says always put the chain on the big ring before loosening the chain ring bolts ....
Count yourself lucky it was only a chain ring. Imagine it was one of those nasty disc rotors that have been thinly slicing roadies left right and centre. Killers they are, killers.
Great for bacon though.
