on from other camper posts really got me thinking about getting one. What have others done about camping with dogs?
mine sleep in the car now when we use our tent, but conversions I have seen the bed appears to take up most of the space in the back, what do others do? Awnings, cages?
If anyone has pics of a conversion like this I would be grateful
I can't be the only one with 2 dogs and no kids!
After briefly travelling on the rear seat with a harness, our dog now travels in a large cage (anchored to the floor) in her bed. When we get to the camp site, the cage folds flat, and she sleeps under the end of our bed (though if it’s cold she’ll creep up onto the bed.

What was the problem with the harness?
Pip sleeps on the floor at the end of the bed in ours.
There's a big gap in front of the seat, and when MrT did one of his sudden stops, the dog fell off the back seat! This scared her so much she howled every time we went out after that. She's fine in a harness in our small car.

Hmm I have hairy mostly Muddy Bearded collies, I cant see them sharing my sleeping area! folding cages sound like a plan, may have to custom design the interior to fit maybe, any one else got any pearls? come on show me your campers!
