[Closed] Android 2.2 - when?

Mind you i had some update thing on my phone earlier - I requested to "update later when in a wifi hotspot" and not had the notification since..Grrr

T-Mobile. I have no idea what it was, just scan read it then hit the "update later". There is nothing on T-Mobile or HTC websites about it

HTC said that they're pushing out the 2.1 update for the Hero progressively - so not everyone will get it at once. And I remember reading in the same piece something about how they're doing something at the moment of an update, before the big'un comes in a month or so. Wish I could remember where I'd read it.

As far as I know the main additions are that you can make the phone act as a wireless router when its using HSDPA/3G and a significant speed increase. There is also the addition of being able to save apps to SD card, something eclair can't do yet without addons.
I've been running a rooted version of froyo(2.2) for a week now and it certainly is a good bit quicker, wifi router is nice, missed that from my HD2.

My phone updated with android 2.1 today

i got the htc Desire on saterday .... its a nice phone 🙂 very happy with it

lucky barsteward. ordered my upgrade to desire last week only to be told by vodafone today that there are none in the country and it will be at least another 2 weeks before i get mine. it might also come with a lcd display rather than the amoled one.

Desire comes with 2.1 so no update needed.
