Hi Folks,

I need your advice on dental insurance. i.e. which one and how much or not getting any.

Okay, I have been to the dental hospital today and the result is not good. I was advised to either get it extracted or to go for root canal treatment with a crown. To do the latter I need to go back to my dentist who will then refer, actually prefer, me to go private. Cost £700 - £750.

Not sure what to do really as that's a lot of money for me.

Damn ... 🙁

They won't cover you for pre-existing conditions if that's what you're planning?

A crown should not cost that much anyway - my private ones did not. You can get it done under the NHS if you want.

Pre-ex only applies to medical. Should be no requirement on a dental plan.

My recomendation: www.cigna.co.uk
