It does freeze sometimes but just restart it.

well i live in Aus' and have been using Hola to watch BBC documentaries on iplayer rather than wait to watch on youtube 🙄
any advice on alternatives ?

I'm currently in Korea and a work colleague has suggested adtelly chrome plugin. I've not yet tried it myself.
I travel around a lot and have success with unlocator.
Also possible you have malware on your pc redirecting your web traffic through a vpn/ip address
Have you noticed an increase in dodgy ads?
