As I'm working from home these days seems daft not to have a pan on the go

So today I've created a concoction that will hopefully become a yellow orange coloured batch of lemon and ginger chilli chutney

I picked up some lemon chillies the other day and felt inspired - and managed to source a kilo and a half of yellow tomatos too.

Looks and smells amazing atm

Any other chilli fanatics out there who have come up with interesting chutneys or sauces

I have a load of reaper chillis that I need to find a use for (other than chemical warfare)

I enjoy making 'hotsauce'.

Chilli, sugar, vinegar and salt +/- whatever else in a particular batch.

Crystalised ginger (and no sugar) in the last batch was really tasty.

Smoked tomatoes were interesting (when made into a basic hot sauce). I think I oversmoked them though. Certainly worth revisiting but not my greatest success.

I use home grown sriracha chillies. Our bush is closer to shrub / small tree now. I wouldn't want hotter to use like your reapers. I like hot food more than most but can't taste anything other than pain from those high-heat peppers. I'd rather add more of something else to a dish as opposed to a minute amount of some GM freak.

I'm sure I'll get around to making a chutney. Yours sounds delicious. I don't think I've ever had heat with my cheese though which makes me wonder if it'd sit at the back of the fridge.

green bean chutney is a favourite but tricky to get the right consistency.

I often make caramelised red onion chutney. Easy to do, but takes a lot of ingredients to make a few paltry jars.

Marmalade from the big tins of shredded oranges.

homemade baked beans with a firecracker powder.

But yes MCPH - I agree there are limited uses of the reaper peppers. I love chilli but I enjoy the flavour of scotch bonnet etc - the reaper ones are just heat
