I don't post a great deal but read a lot here and though the vive mind could set me on the right path.
Replacing the waste on my acrylic bath that was leaking, a faff in itself, and dropped something into the tub! Small ding about 10mm but a little deep that I want to repair.
Lots of small scratches from day to day wear. I called a repairer who quoted £500+ for a refinish and £180 for repair but googling indicates several options.
Milliput or a proprietary repair kit. Guessing the end is just buffing the area but what with? very fine wet and dry or silver polish?
I'd fit some anti-slip stickers, one of which covering the ding.
I'd probably use some kind of epoxy resin (something with a bit of flex in it) or that milliput stuff looks good.
Once dry, sand down with fine wet & dry in increasing smoothness....you wanna get it pretty flat to start with I would think as some epoxy resins are bloody hard & take and age to sand back.
