appropriate to some stuff on forum - first came across in hand written sales reports (carbon paper days!) had a salesperson on team that put in middle of what where actually boring reports - i put it on his comments on his appraisal evaluation

and dont you just hate when people abbreviate there company names then tell you what it means in brackets. Whats the point in that except extra expenditure

When a friend of mine was a student, on his walk to college were a line of boarded up, vandalised terraced houses, covered in obscene graffiti. Amongst it all was the repeated phrase YEB OFF. So it worked his way into is vocabulary, and soon all the the people on his course (all from out of town) were telling each other to Yeb off, thinking it was local slang.

One morning he saw the door being boarded up on what was the last occupied house, the guy nailed the door shut, wrote Yeb Off on the door, then got into his Yorkshire Electricity Board van.
