I'd say you could take that a step back and say having Fox as your father would be generally a pretty terrible state of affairs through making some very difficult decisions for you and having incredibly challenging relationships with everyone and everything in your world (other parent, your school, any medics, your friends' parents, your neighbours).

I think for people who fall down that conspiracy sink hole the first thing you lose (or throw away really) is good friends. What you gain is people who will egg you on and let you take the fall for what are for them quite loosely held beliefs, that they'll trade next week for some other claptrap. 'Critical' isn't part of the game - its a world where people just offer each other more and more embellishments to their fantasies.
