Bought the whole Myor discography for £20 off bandcamp, haven't listened to most of it. Need to get round to it!

As it's only Friday morning I'm on a bit more of a mellow vibe

Let's have a bit of context for the Fixate 'RIP Groove' re-work.

Back from early last year when Sherelle blew up the Boiler Room. The most notorious rewind of recent times.

The mix comes in just after 23:00 mins. Then do like they do and pull a rewind of your own back to the begining of the set. The set is a mash up of Footwork, Ghettotech and jungle. Best set I've heard in a few years.

It's the weekend and this is Pete Technimatic's solo project Wardown. An album based around a childhood in Luton might not sound the most promising start but I'm loving it. Not one for the dancefloor, this is "emotive DnB"

Really getting into Jungle a lot more of late. One act whose output I'm really enjoying is Crate Classics! Two lads out of London, one of them is David Rodigan's son!
It's a lot more up to date jungle rather than focusing on the 90s stuff which you find on a lot of online mixes, it's like more relaxed 'intelligent' jungle if you like. They produce their own stuff as well as dj. Here's a recent example, the whole thing is ace. 👌
Please let me know if you listen and enjoy.

Sensational stuff from Nia Archives. Female DJ's are absolutely killing it on the drum n'bass scene right now. There's a few in Manchester that put so much energy and effort into their performance, making the blokes look (And sound) a bit safe and boring, the girls are definitely showing more imagination right now.

I put it down to them not having to go through the record shop hierarchy bulls**t that used to prevail when sourcing dub plates, promos' and getting gigs etc.

Best set I've seen since Sherelle's boiler room set from a couple of years back.

coincidentally...

Fred Again's track "Jungle" isn't jungle, but it's a banger.

Biggest name on the scene. Covers multi genres, re-licks most of the tracks in his sets, has got the emotional and euphoric balance on lock.

Yeah, I got into him when he was an engineer for Brian Eno. Everything he does has feeling, despite being very minimal and electronic. A bit like Jamie XX. Thanks for the set, will listen tomorrow.

I am practically glue to earbuds nowadays catching up with decades of trans minimalist whatever people called them nowaday. Currently listening to Adonis FR, Ann Clue, Luttrell, Deniz Bul, Above & Beyond and Honzho. Plenty of bass I like.

@Kelvin He's no flash in the pan, he'll be the biggest thing in electronic music by the end of this year. Proper party vibe that appeals to both sexes, unlike some DnB which can turn into a bit of a bro fest out darking each other!

Holy thread resurrection!

I thought I’d post this up as I know there are a few drum n bass heads on here, so I’ve just had this played to me tonight. This is my mates son who’s on the first year of a music degree. He’s put these together.

I’d love to hear your thoughts.

That Mandidextrous set is great, it popped up in the same algorithm for me.

Love the bloke at the C&S Boiler Room who knows the words. Seems like a great nightz I hear Will was stuck in Ibiza airport and was genuinely gutted to not make it.
