Can't wait, shame it's on Britbox though.

I think you mean "shame I've got to pay for it" and I totally agree...

However that trailer is just as funny as I remember from my Yoof :o)

This should be good however it will be difficult to satirise the shit that is going on in 2020 – they will just be holding up a mirror.

Perfect timing for a surplus of material for the writers.

Don't know why, but my memory of SI was Thatcher going for a p against a pwall (no pissoirs then) and Tebbit, Hesseltine etc suffering performance angst.
Brilliant

It was rubbish first time around and it looks like they've maintained that standard.

^ yeah, looks pretty shit to me too, especially given that the trailer's usually the better bits

Loved the original but that trailer is dreadful.

The original was fabulous.

Very unimpressed with the trailer above though. The puppets look far too 'nice', the old ones were seriously deformed and all the better for it. I have a feeling all the jokes and scenes will be a bit too 'nice' too.

I wonder if they would get away with showing 'I've Never Met A Nice South African' today.

I wonder if Trump will try to ban it from being aired in the USA?

Agreed, the new puppets look too realistic instead of exaggerated caricature.

Also agree with...

it will be difficult to satirise the shit that is going on in 2020 – they will just be holding up a mirror.

Going to be hard to make a further joke from the joke that is 2020. All in, the trailer doesnt bode well

Yep, totally unfunny - quite an achievement. The original had some sublime moments eg John Major in grey pushing peas around his plate - totally captured the man at the time.

Probably more to do with the distortion of your 18" '80's Sony Trintron CRT TV. Through a modern UHD 4K 52" screen they probably look as polished as these new ones.

Looking forward to it. I wont be paying for britbox, but wait a few months and it will be available on other medial outlets. We're in desperate need of a sense of humour injection in these current crazy times where some people are put up on pedestals and their opposition not able to bear the full criticism to bear because of identity politics - something that didn't exist in the '80's so will be interesting to see how Spitting Image deal with that without offending some sleeper snowflake somewhere who is just waiting the shadows to be triggered to spring into action. Hope they're as brutal as they were back in the '80's, though suspect they wont be...or will be selective about whom they focus their brutal satire towards.

I can’t find it anywhere online
