Interesting thanks.

Would be interesting to have this separately for the bike and chat forums too.

I think the main take from those stats is...

...Matt - you need to get out and about more! 🙂

It'd be interesting to know ...

- estimated length of annual posting time (aka loss of work productivity)!

- ratio of lurking : contributing

- top controversial contributers (posts/comments resulting in warning, ban, thread closures)

I find it slightly sad that there is more politics talked than about bikes on a bike forum

There are no politics threads in the bike forum.

The Chat forums has a few but, if anything they are more current affairs, rather than deep ideological debate.

Let's talk about bikes baby,
Let's talk about you and me,
Let's talk about all the good things,
and the bad things, that may be.

Let's talk about bikes.

The Chat forums has a few but, if anything they are more current affairs

here’s the top seven:

psas-that-may-or-may-not-be-amazing-enough-to-warrant-their-own-thread – 2663 replies
uk-government-thread – 2795 replies
ukraine-2 – 2845 replies
formula-1-2024 – 3198 replies
donald-trump – 3761 replies
rishi-sunak – 4087 replies
uk-election – 8916 replies

Of the top 7 5 are politics. That’s a lot of politics and not bikes and biking

You missed the key point - there are no politics threads on the Bike section of the forum.

I have not had much in the way of warnings from the modes recently but I am aware that I am on a permanently shoogly peg so I win this one

And for someone who seemingly hates the subject, they don’t half keep bringing it up…

Can we get a graph of the forum/website response times?

Only joking.

I'm not sure if that doesn't apply to a few of us on a range of subjects.

Back in the day, the most frequent posters got listed in the fabled magazine

Very relieved not to be featured in this.

For a second I thought "I don't notice that many posts by ernielynch", then I remembered that I studiously avoid most of the politics threads.
