We will be in touch
There here! my XT 785's and 180mm ice tech rotors and my word do they look sexy, The wife took it quite well (moaned a bit but no more than 1 min)any ways here is looking forward to the New year and the end of constant bleeding and pad change every 8 rides , I am a big lad and i take some stopping .
The most impressive thing about this post is that the wife only moaned for 1 min. Mine can go on and on almost interminably about the most minor of bike related purchases. I recently noticed; though; that if she thinks I am replacing something broken she doesn't witter as much e.g. 'Just had to buy a new reverb to replace that old broken one' and rely on the fact she doesn't know any thing about bikes.
Good luck with that, a new stem came up in conversation earlier and my wife asked if it was a Chris King only to immediately correct herself by saying that CK made headsets.
Yikes.
Lol. You're screwed.
FOG be careful, you can't use that one all the time.
Best advice I've been given is to always state that any purchase for the bike is 'necessary for safety' ..... it works everytime, there is no argument against it!
A good LBS will always provide two recipts one for you and one for the wife lol.
Got Kevin a set for Christmas and just picked his late pressie on the way up to Scotland. Just need to get it built up when we get home
I went through a few days of comments and suggestions before telling her I'd bought a new frame... I had to tell her as my old on was red, and the new one is blue...
Her comment: "Your bike is red?"
Tracey! you give me heart attack, my OH is Tracey! Thought I'd been rumbled for a second there!!! 😆
Has she just bought you a SWorks carbon Stumpy frame
i spent 4k on my bike but as far as the missus knows it was 1k 🙂
llamanob- thats the best advice i ever read im gonna add it to Moe's and get the next lot of work done for safety's sake and get a second recipt for a hundred quid more thereby giving me £100 in credit thanks fellas
I 'swapped' a SC Superlight for a Merlin Works XLM because SC had stopped building the SL and they were much in demand.
Now she as much in to bikes as me so I can't get away with it any more.
😉
