I need to buy a Fox hose guide for some Fox 32 forks I bought, as they came without one. £5 for the pre-2008 one. £10 for post-2008. Did the credit crunch cause the price of plastic to soar?

Pretty much anything with a Fox Forx logo on it has been subject to massive and inexplicable price hikes in the last few years, which is a very good reason why I only bother with their rear shocks.
