Trying to find the correct bunch of parts to get a Thule Edge WingBar for a 2016 BMW 5 series estate, from Halfords. The Thule site part numbers don't seem to match up with Halfords'.

Thule site says I need:

Thule Edge Flush Rail - SKU 720600
Front Thule WingBar Edge 95 - SKU 721400
Rear Thule WingBar Edge 86 - SKU 721300
Kit - 186001

Together that's the 95cm Edge and 86cm Edge.

Halfords has various packages of WingBar Edge (feet + bars I guess?), that I assume are combinations of lengths, such as "Thule Wingbars Edge Black 9593 L" or "Thule Wingbar Edge Black 9584 S/M" - but nothing matches up to either the specific lengths (9586) or Thule part numbers.

And on the Halfords site, all of them say "This product may not fit your car"

Any ideas? I guess I can order elsewhere if can't figure out the Halfords site.

Thule Evo Flush Rail 7106
Thule WingBar Evo 118 - aluminium (pair) 7112
Thule Kit 186001

Have a look at roofbox.co.uk or roofracks.co.uk

May be cheaper and you'll get matching locks thrown in.

Why would you want wingbar edge?

Higher cost, less space, less weight capacity....

Aw c’mon, wingbar edges look 100% sleeker and are probably better on fuel etc. If you don’t need the extra width /weight they’re a better (albeit more expensive) option.

On the basis that 1) your car apparently needs two different length bars and 2) my 3 series uses two ‘medium’ bars, I’d say you need a large and a medium. Just a guess. You can measure the distance between your roof rails if you’re not sure.

The pairs of wingbars come in various size combos (L+L,L+M, M+M, M+S etc) but they have some adjustment in length so it’s possible that eg both a large and a medium will fit either position on your car. So in theory, the Halfords and Thule sites could disagree but still both be correct.

According to the Thule website you've got the correct kit numbers so I'd go with that despite what the Halfords website says.

Roofbox.co.uk are great but not always the cheapest. I've used them alot over the years but recently when I got a couple of bike carriers Halfords pricing couldn't be beaten so went with them.
