FSA XL2 or Cane Creek S3?

Finger hovering over 'BUY' button!

It's to hold a set of Lyrics to a Pitch whilst hammering down some Alps, if that matters! 8)

Designed with a close eye on the gram scale, the Deus headset is intended for XC use.

I'd rather not, especially as it's £8 more than an FSA...

So, FSA or CC?

Dont know. Will pop in the post to you this week and you can decide either way. Bearings are probably more expensive than the headset though. At least there is a good chance its OK if it off one of my bikes as they dont get used!!

HONC brilliant 5.47 round the course. I'm amazed as thought I'd only last 60-70kms.

My FSA XLII is still prefect after a year of two muddy rides a week. I took the bearings out yesterday and they were smooth, not grit etc.

Rich, if that was to me, sorry, we'll actually be in India then!

Looks like an FSA then. Cheers! 🙂

Ohh, that sounds pretty decent for 100k to me. Well done! 😀 Kirsty says well done too.

FSA and CC, the only two makes I would really avoid.

Budget headset? Used CK off classifieds/fleabay.

Not on a 160mm travel fork, thanks. I love a King as much as anyone else, but they do mark steerers on 140mm forks, never mind longer ones. And this bike doesn't get used too often, so I don't need to lash out any more than ~£20 anyway, so just this time I'll avoid a King. 🙂

Looks like Andy's got an FSA Orbit Extreme Pro for me anyway, so I'm sorted. 😀
