[Closed] Where should a Shimano press fit bottom bracket tool press?

Bought a BB90 tool off ebay and it slots in the the 24mm inner and presses against the inner bearing- I thought you would want to press the outer "shell" in?

Its not a branded tool and gut says I would be better with a flat plate than this..

Only pressed BB30 but it's similar.

Anyway there are few guides out there to help you.

I made some guides up that press on the outers,putting pressure on the inner bearing area didn't seem right .It's my first press fit BB so I may be talking rubbish,but they feel fine.

Pressing the inner is definitely wrong.

I know this because I watched someone inadvertantly press my CK ceramic with a top hat in. That race has been notchy ever since.
