Radon Swoop 170

Rear axle is 12 X 148

There seems to be a few thread pitches and lengths...

Does anyone know the correct size to order a new axle?

Try the Robert Axle Project website. They let you filter by bike type and give you the details you need.

Is it a branded axle? E.g. X-12, maxle, Shimano e-thru? Do you have the old axle to measure the thread pitch and threaded length? If you do look at the Robert axle project site for a printable measuring guide. The axle overall length depends on dropout thickness.

Based on the pictures on their site I don't think it's x12 as the 'nut' end is teardrop shaped.

It's unbranded, says 148x12 and a random 42.18

We've the old one, it's pitch we can't measure it seems...

I'll go check that Roberts site.

If you print out the guide from Robert axle you can measure the pitch

Right, I'm gonna grab a Burgtec bolt through for the Bronson, if yours is the same, ye can have the one on there now.

Pitch is 1mm (threads are 15mm long, and there's 15 of them in total), 12mm diameter, total length 168mm.

If that matches yours, gimme a shout, it's the DT swiss that came with the bike.

Gies a shout.
