Hi everyone. My race face x type bottom bracket has worn out and i was going to be buying a new one but how do i no what size to get? or are all the external bb's a standard size? Advive would be much appreciated thanks.

I took my old unit along to shop when i replaced it as measured axle length and distance between cups internal and external .

race face X-type BB's are the same size as the shimano HTII type so you can swap in a Hope, Shimano, CK, Superstar(?) etc.
Truvativ have a different size so you can't swap in one of those.

Just get a mtb shimano, as the road ones are slightly different. Acros is fine too.
Sram is the same as truvativ, so avoid those.
