I'm currently running a Truvativ Gigapipe on my singlespeed and I have to say it's pants, no matter how many times I re-install it it creaks like buggery.

Any recommendations?

Thanks

Thanks for your speedy responses - I have superstar hubs and so far they've been great - maybe I'll give the bb a go. And I'll have a serch around for FSA.

I still run ISIS. thought I was the Last Man on Earth who did. I've had a fair few FSA platinum pro BBs and found them adequate but no better. I have only had one Superstar ISIS bb but o far it's doing well. I'd definitely buy another.

I found SKF were the only ISIS bb worth going with

don't use FSA plat pros!!!! i had 3 (bought 1 and got 2 further replacements) I snapped the axle clean in half on all, 3 however the bearings were still in good condition. superstar and SKFs are both good.

I know your pain after going through practically every ISIS bb out there thinking everyone one of them was creaking, turns put it was my sliding dropouts. I now have a stock of ISIsS bb's. I you havn't already, try some copper slip on what ever your ss solution is ( unless it's using a singulator then ignore me!!). You to may have a collection of perfect Isis bb's too!

Oh and if it is the bb, my superstar one was poorly sealed and is now crunchy. I am runing a crank bros one that has been in for 2 years no issues.

I broke two of the superstar ISIS bbs in a little over a year. The first was replaced without any kind of quibble; the second I didn't bother to contact them. I'm thinking I might give up and give HTII a try (again).

EDIT: overweight old guy mashing on a single speed type riding.

Are the bearings replaceable on the FSA platinum? If so what size?

The American classic ISIS BB's are bloody brilliant. Light weight (150 grams) and cheap, but they last and last and last.

You can probably pick one up for £20 on e-bay
