IV threaded my crank arm 🙁 it is an XT M8000, I only bought it in Nov 2018 new :(,, need to get another crank set but really want to save the pennies but get it fast as I need it for Wednesday, anyone recommend me a cheaper alternative crank set which is decent. Spec I need 96mm, 170mm, 50mm Chainline - to run a narrow wide ring and to fit the bottom bracket I already have in which is the BB that fit the XT M8000
The only cranks that will fit your M8000 chainring are modern Shimano as the bolt holes are offset to their own pattern.
Try an SLX for something cheaper than the XT.

What arm is it? I have drive side 170mm xt that you can buy for cheap , or you can sell me you 170mm left side.
or helicoil it...
I had exactly this just recently. Ended up buying a raceface aeffect sh off here as it was only a bit more expensive than a helicoil kit (forty odd quid- odd size) and included a BB and chainring.
Incidentally if anyone wants a couple of new m7000 fit works components chainrings, I've been meaning to put them in the classifieds.
My local shop fits a helicoil for only a few quid. Cheap and quick. I’m sure most bike shops would be the same.
