it's water proof and has a zip, what more do you need?

if you're proper hard you can just use an orange survival bag. works well but make a small tear in the top otherwise it gets a bit "moist"

Do you want cheap and reasonable, or expensive and excellent?

got a cheap £19.99 trekmates one from TK Max this week for a bothie trip coming up in case it's full.

Guess it's not going to be the best but will get me out of the worst of the weather at a reasonable cost

If price isn't an issue go for the terra-nova laser competition tent. It's not much heavier than a bivi and you get a roof over your head. Personally can't get my head around a bivi, what happens if it rains, bugs crawling all over you. Hooped bivi's are like a coffin, not for me, give me a roof everytime. If your stuck on a bivi as previously mentioned heard good things about alpkit, quality kit at reasonable prices.
