?
from memory, yes. But I could be mistaken ๐
Hurrah for clicky freehubs.
I've got a couple of Hope Bulbs and they are noticably quieter than Pro2s.
Bit louder than Shimano IME but not by much.
depends how much grease is in them
My Hope XC is way quieter than the Pro 2 on my new bike.
I've had 2 XC's and 1 Bulb, and with similar amounts of grease to Pro2's they're much quieter.
Yeh, depends how much grease is in them and what springs youve got.
I lost the springs in my Bulb so i made some new ones which are much more springy and hence the hub is now at least as loud as a pro2
I thought my hope xcs were pretty clicky then a mate got some pro2s, xc aren't even in the same league!
My bulb is quieter than a Pro2, I think the loudest Hope hub I've heard is the Pro2 single speed/trials hub, I think they border on being too loud really...
both XC and bulb hubs are that quiet compared to my Pro II's, I'm left wondering if there something wrong with them, after riding the Pro II for a while.
The Pro2 hubs use strips of metal for the spring mechanisms, as opposed to the coil-spring found in XCs/Bulbs etc.
I believe that the Pro2s have more points of engagement inside, so will certainly click more often.
Again - I have to agree with the common point about the amount/viscosity of grease being used in the hub internals being the greatest determining factor.
I love clicky hubs!!!
