Scientists are confirming what most cyclists instinctively know – that riding a bike has extraordinary effects on our brain chemistry[/url]

What is WRONG with the Independent? Positive stories about cycling? They'll be shunned!

Yeah, known that for years as when i was fit (or fitter than i am now) i could quite easily lose a few hours out on the ss roadbike, miles n' miles would pass by and i'd have absolutely no recollection of my journey and i used to drop into that so called "meditative rhythmic zone" very easy but at the moment due to piss-poor fitness my lungs n' heart don't allow me that privilege as they usually attempt to climb out of my chest at the slightest provocation.

Be nice to get that feeling back again, it'll take time.

Mountain biking is supposed to be one of the better mental workouts you can get from sport due to the amount of muscular and sensory responses.
Don't know where i read that but i hope riding stops my brain from going dull.
