With the demise of my £38 aliexpress sourced Deore 11-51 (loose rivets to spider as per all the early ones) the seller wants me to send it back to China.
Which might take a while if it ever gets there.
I'm not buying another Deore unless its from a UK source, and they are all out of stock or £1million.
So I need an interim cassette while the Chinese seller sorts me out, and was eyeing the cheap VG Sports jobs up.
Anyone used one? The deore shifts really nicely - I suppose I can't expect that.
I've got one. You can tell its cheaply made, doesn't look very well finished and there is lots of play on the freehub until its tightened up. I use it on a steel freehub so not sure how it would work on an alu one. It shifts, but not very smoothly. Chain drops if yuou back pedal in top few gears. I tried adjusting chainline to stop that, but no luck.
I got a year out of a 11 42 ten speed sun race, which is unheard of for me. I let the chain go too long, still works on the old chain but a new one slips.
Lots of lock down miles too. I'd probably go for Sunrace in your position.
