Ive got one - just finished the build and will spend tonight covering it in helicopter tape and tinkering with the bar / brake / shifter positions and setting the sag etc.

Ive gone for a custom paint job, 810mm wide bars, Hammerschmidt, Chris King hubs, Talas 2011's, Thompson stem and seat post, Saint brakes, braided hoses.

Will find out tomorrow how it rides (apart from the test ride I did two months ago)

Ha, I will as soon as I get a wide angle lens ๐Ÿ™‚

Or you can pop over for a fondle. It will have its maiden voyage this weekend. Somewhere where I can spend hours setting up the suspension.

Know of anywhere with hills you dont have to rid up before riding down ?

Its frickin mint, Ive had mine a while now and It climbs well, and gives me soooo much confidence going downhill that Im now hitting stuff faster, dropping further and generally riding better than Ive ever done, its a perfect bike for the UK.

Update - just ridden mine on Sat, Sun and Monday. While I still have some fine tuning to do on the suspension the ride is great. It climbs better than my old Whyte 46, feels very planted in all other situations. The downs were taken at much higher speed as it just gave me more confidence. Its a medium frame with a 70mm stem - Im 5foot11 and the bars are in an upright positions. You could get away with a large with the seat forwards at my tall/shortness. But a medium is fine. The very wide bars gave me loads of confidence and feedback in the twistys. But the biggest change of riding after the suspension are the brakes - Ive fitted Saint's and Im stopping 10 feet sooner than I used to. Im really haveing to recalibrate my braking distances with them. Its like riding into a brick wall. Just a gentle one finger squeeze is all I need..

Transitions generally have upped their craftmanship game over the last 2 years.....the latter models now being treated to a coat of lacquer and some tidy tubing!!

The Coverts angles are generally where they need to be, perhaps with only the bb a tad too high....but, the HA is slack enough.

If you're looking for a reasonably nimble 6"er.....you could do worse!!
