As above, I recently bought some 2nd hand pike 409's from a friend, and fitted them today, to find that a - the rebound is REALLY quick, to the extent that i get a very loud bang from top out when i bunny hop, and b) they are leaking a bit of oil from the seals.
I was wondering if the rebound could be because of a lack of oil, and whether new seals, and oil would be likely to sort the problem out?
They havent been used for a bout a year and a half.
Alternatively i could send them to tf tuned, or loco.
seal kit will sort it
Flipped seal in the damper, can be an easy fix if your willing to have a look.
ok messiah, im happy to have a look, what do i need to do though?
I'm guessing i should buy some new seals and put them in at the same time. What weight oil would i be best to use if i need to change it or top it up? Im mainly going to be using them at 100- 120 for 4x and pissing around on short dh tracks.
All you need here bud.
