It's been pants today. Blank pages, weird formatting or the site simply refusing to load at all for 10 or 15 minutes.

Not a fan of this Stan floating speech bubble thing on a small screen (or anything that obscures what you're trying to view basically)
Is it really necessary to have it there as well as up the top?
Do people need it so near to hand?
I'm unsure if I've done something, but the Classifieds page is now just a grid of advert text with no images.
If I haven't done something, and this is the new format can I share my opinion that it's visually much worse and stops me from looking through it at all vs just having the main advert title and an image which I can then click into if interested? Obviously that's just my opinion, but it's a strong one 😆 :

Notifications that you have a private message from another forumite are taking literally hours to come through.
Subscribed thread notifications have been coming through in chunks at random times for a little while. I assume something keeps falling over and needs a kick start.

I keep getting notifications that there are replies to my subscribed thread, that small cars jobbie. However, it's nothing to do with me so obviously a mistake. Doesn't bother me in the slightest but thought I'd mention it in case it helps pinpoint an issue somewhere.

For what it’s worth the site seems pretty unusable on iPhone at the moment (latest iOS etc). There’s such a lag - maybe as pop up adverts appear - that you click on a thread but it then freezes, refreshes and what you have clicked changes, sending you to something else
eg I’ve been trying to click on this thread but it’s then pushing me to the double blue next page of threads buttons, such is the delay and refreshed page.

I've had a few days not allowed to log in, but have still been browsing - got to say, I actually didn't find the ad's too intrusive tbh, it was usable as opposed to when I've looked logged out before and though it was totally unusable

Yet again the site has been almost unusable today. Painfully slow to load and at times effectively offline. I now realise after lots of naive false hope for the last couple of years, that it's never going to be properly fixed. Any period of apparently normal page loading times is always temporary. It always falls over again after a few days or weeks. Every time. It's the hope that kills you. No other site I use does this. This forum software and/or it's implementation, is simply not fit for purpose.
Question. Is there some sort of limiter in place for photo posting?
I posted some photos on a thread (the 5 limit then a further reply with 5 more) and then for maybe a couple of days now in the reply box the option to post photos is missing. Instead I have that weird blurred rectangle that takes you to GIFS. Nothing else.
I'd show a screenshot, but then I can't post photos innit.

No logged in cache has issues. Just been browsing logged out without realising. The main forum list page showed Thursday's date, several threads I opened showed Thursday or Fridays date. Only the homepage showed today's date.

came here to report this and hadnt realised i was logged out until i read this post. my last posts were from 4 days ago until i logged in.

I don't think they have wondered that...a few pages back Mark gave an update of traffic and visit numbers and there didn't appear to be a huge difference...perception from the users (us) is that it is quieter, but Mark kind of debunked that (forum has more posts per page, volume of posts still about the same, etc).
I never know if it's my work's webmarshalls causing slowness for me, so is anyone else experiencing much slowness at the mo? Especially pages with photos on them...
Odd issue - was force logged out (happens sometimes, no big deal) but when logged out I am not seeing the latest replies to threads. For example: the PSA sticky was only showing 12 pages, whereas now I am logged in there's 13 with the newer replies.
Sorry I'm sure this has been covered somewhere, I was posting a trip report (posted approx 16 pics yesterday) and now can't post pics, have I exceeded a limit somewhere? It says 'no more attachments today' even though I posted the 16 pics yesterday?

Not sure if it’s posted elsewhere but when clicking on images in posts it often only displays the first image in the post instead of the one you clicked on.
Well, the ST AI worked very well in finding this, but 60 "The New Forum" pages later this is still an issue for me (though can be mitigated by right clicking on an image an selecting "open in a new tab/window").
