i couldn’t log into the Royal Mint website for about 2 weeks, it was the only the site I couldn’t log into. I eventually cleared the cookie and that sorted it.
This makes my teeth itch!!! 😬😬
but it's pretty quick if just hitting the chevrons.

I just went double chevrons to read the last post of the 'incessant snow' thread,which is currently 35 pages long. It went straight to the top of that last page fine, without showing me the first page briefly ... but then hung there for a very long, long time. I counted 128secs in my head before it finally displayed the bottom of the page. Over 2 mins.
Hopefully that change is a sign of work in progress 🙏
Site is running at a glacial pace today as well. If there are updates going on in the background it would be nice to have a heads-up!
Something is broken. Page loads to about 80-85% (shown by progress bar) and the Edit/Format buttons in the Reply box are missing.
Wait a couple of minutes before the loading bar completes and the buttons pop up.
I still have to log in every time I visit on my laptop. Until just now though I could get straight in on my Android. But no, not anymore. I've been logged out and have to sign in yet again. Hey STW, you're doing just great.
Maybe I should start a poll about user satisfaction, after all we have not seen a new poll for a while
When you log in, you should get a tick box at the bottom of the login pop-up saying 'keep me logged in' or similar. Have you ticked that? As I never have issues about bring logged off and having to log in again.

It now seems fixed- the 'incessant snow' thread is now going to the latest post in about 6 secs. Much better than 2 mins on the face of it, something has apparently happened.
I tick the box Every. Blummin'. Time.
Tick it before you enter your login details, make sure don’t have your browser set to delete the cookie on closure and finally try the delete the cookie from your browser, close the browser and login.
As you seen from the survey most people are happy with their experience.

its supposed to show notifications but it doesnt appear to work on the main page. if you go into your profile, the bell will then show you how many you have (if any at all) which i guess will be on the list of things to fix, but i cant see it being a priority tbh.
Ah, on my PC I've read and turned off all the notifications now (as they never worked anyway) and the bell has gone.
How does one switch off notifications for a thread they've started?
The bell doesn't work for me (does nothing when I click on it) except when I'm viewing the classifieds, there it shows notifications (about posts I've started) if you can click on it. Quite often though it's behind some sort of pointless translucent banner that blocks clicking on it.

Thrre bars (Hamburger menu) on the blue bar under the word Singletrack. I can see it in your screenshot.
I can also see that, just like mine, the BLUETTI ad has been cut off left and right. I mean, I don't really care but I might if I was paying for that ad.

Search still broken then? Wanted to find a specific recent thread. Nope, only old threads avail in search.
I even replied to the thread as a "bookmark" to allow me to find it... but that would rely on me being able to find threads I'd posted on. Go to Profile. Posts? Nah, that's threads created by the looks of things. Comments? Comments sound promising. Yeah, only if I want to look at comments from years gone by. No way of sorting by newest 1st. Forums? Holy shit - I can actually see comments / posts that I have created and it even looks to be in order by newest 1st!!
Bugger me the ux is terrible if you actaully want to do more than read a thread on the first page of the forum.

I wanted to ask what the difference is between a sponsored article and an advert? That article looks like an advert to me, is there some financial reason for the different descriptions?

If the general dysfunctionality of the free mobile site hasn't got the message through, I don't see how this extra restriction will tip the balance.
I’m an occasional reader of the forum and find it mind boggling how bad this works, it’s like going back years and it never seems to improve.
It’s even more mental when it’s part of a business.
I have no idea how easy it is to have a working forum but I can’t think of any others I use that don’t work perfectly 99% of the time.
I know Weeksy set up a motorbike one, not as part of any business but it worked flawlessly, fast and easy to use. Just the posters that let that forum down😉 apart from Tricky’s reports and Weeksy’s reports in his lad’s racing😀
Same with Rob at Emtb forum, it’s a pleasure to use, this one is so frustrating to use I often just give up while waiting for a thread to load.
Wouldn’t it be easier to just use some different forum software and ask someone to sort it out?
There's an acronym in business that matches almost every product that's ever succeeded. Simple, Loveable, Complete. Now STW has a bit of investment capital it would be well worth writing that on a whiteboard and then trying to fix this utter mess of a product.
