I have a Whtye T-130 which has a maxle on the rear, I also have a Bird Zero TR which has a maxle light on the rear. Is there any reason they are not interchangeable? I prefer the way the maxle light works and I'm thinking I could buy one to replace the 'standard' maxle on the T-130 - anyone do this or know why it would be a bad idea?

If the lengths and thread pitches are the same, it will be fine. Easiest way to check is take both out and see if the threads mesh / line up.

I recommend replacing with a bolt up version like those from Mt Zoom. Work better, weigh less, cheap.
