Anyone serviced the Specialized Epic rear shock (for Fox 100 RL forks), know of any guides or have any advice on it?

I'm selling a 2007 model (to a friend) and we might attempt a service, as it must be 100,000 times over the crazy recommendation of time that Fox advice you service it, but its not worth paying £200 minimum for the service really.

Thanks.

Mojo,
Specialized,
or J Tech.

They're not user servicable. Other than air can seals.

hmmm, thats what I feared. To be honest he isn't going to ride it hard or much, so it doesn't really seem worth sending it off and I'm giving him the whole bike for £400 so I don't want to foot the cost though and he's at the top end of his (wifes) budget.

oh and that meant to read, service Brain rear shock (and fox forks...)

You could always service everything yourself, to the extent you can at home.

Although I find the things that break first are the rebound systems which are not user serviceable.. Everything else just makes it work a bit better.

Thanks. Think he'll live with it then as it is springy enough. I hate doing maintenance it always gets stressy and I cock it up.
