Spotted a new Surly that been released.. the Lowside.

Looks like a fun bike. Not sure what I'd use it for, but I fancy one.

Conservative/old school geometry, 26x3'' or 27.5x2.8'' tyres, old school looks with a raked out fork.

Maybe a winter bike?

I was looking at this yesterday --- Looks fun.

$600 is likely to translate to £600 though isn't it 🙁

I'd like some of the bars though.

I'd love one as a replacement for my stolen Swobo Mutineer but I have no spare cash and it would likely also get stolen 🙁 still want one though

That does look fun.

I really love my rigid 29er but it feels a bit XC, that looks a bundle of laughs.

Just what I need, another bike I fancy.

That looks great. Reading the blurb on their site is exactly what I use my Stooge for. If I didn't have that, I'd be all over this.

Love the look of it, but i'll be sticking to my rigid SS inbred 26er (not +) as the town/fun bike of choice. £750 for a frameset is pretty steep!

£750 is steep. It's only 4130.

I'd prefer to stick to a Stooge and fit some klunker style bars. I think Andy is developing some too.

It did look like fun until that price tag dropped. Saying that I've a load of frames that could be built up similar. I think the bars are key. Anyone saw anything else like them?

If you just want 'clunker' bars, just get some cruiser BMX bars, or some off an MX bike.

Likewise, I thought 'that's cool' then realised it was basically £750 for a Karate Monkey in a smaller size. Unless you have all the bits for a build that's entry level to carbon hardtail money!

they are certainly in to the 'exclusive' price bracket with that!

just the job for leaving outside a bar...

How about something actually affordable? Below has no cross bar, but look odd enough and are 760mm wide £23:
