If I have one of these (matchmaker compatible):

Can I use one of these to clamp it on my bars and if so, which model? The Yes (left) or the No.
I know I can buy a Chinese version but that seems almost the same price.
Those clamps are for fititng Sram brake levers to the bars
The left yes one has a matchmaker mount attached to it so that would be the one you need if you already have Sram brakes
If you have another type of brake like Hope, Shimano etc.. you will need the matchmaker clamp they make for their brakes
In theory if you dont have Sram brakes you could buy the left yes one and mount it to your bars next to your brake lever and then mount the dropper lever to the matchmaker mount but it would look quite messy
Just go on wolftooth and it should be easy enough to work out what you need.
What brakes are you running? You can get i-spec to matchmaker mounts if you don't want a separate clamp.
I've just gone the other way and bought an adaptor to go from SRAM brake to XT shifterÂ
Thanks both. I don't have the brakes for that particular project yet as Merlin are out if stock of the non EVO TRPs.
I bought one of those before they ran out https://www.airdropbikes.com/products/sram-discrete-shifter-clamp
Ok I now have Guide T brakes coming. Do I need anything else to fit the remote straight onto the lever?
I also have a GX shifter coming, same question?
Thanks!
