I was road riding in the lower Peaks yesterday and discovered that the lane I was going to take from Elton to Longcliffe hadn't been cleared - still several inches of snow coating it, and plenty of big drifts up on the ridges.

No photos but there's still loads of big drifts up on the moors above Blackburn. I got through them all though.

that's not a snow drift, it's the beginning of a glacier i tell you. Ice age on its way...

It's thawed a LOT from what it was! Some of the fences and walls were completely hidden under drifts last week!
