Hi all-

At risk of re-igniting the SRAM vs Shimano wars, anyone know when the XX group is actually going to hit the shops (as aftermarket purchase)?

As an aside - how is it pronounced anyway - "Ex Ex", "Twenty" or something else?

No, it's XX, as in X0, and will be available from the end of this year/start of next.

It's 'ex ex', not sure on availability, it's not on the Fisher Outdoor website yet, and they know nothing anyway! It'll probably appear on 2010 bikes first, I'd say end of the year.

Who f-in cares it's overpriced toss, stop thinking about buying it and they'll drop the price.

That's it, SRAM will listen to a one man campaign on a forum!

I very much doubt July delivery. I am with njee20 on this, first appearance as OE on 2010 bikes then slowly followed by aftermarket in the UK after the US market.

Yep, if nothing else Fishers are usually very slow off the ball on these things!

I was told by our fishers rep yesterday, that it'll be available to order from july.
Whether thats a pre order with a 6 month lead time I dont know.

Available to order usually just means there are product codes that you can place orders against doesn't it?

i would call it "double x".

as in, "i will not be buying any items from the double x range."

It's available from certain US sources within the next 10 days from info i've just been sent. No doubt the UK will be months behind in getting it as usual, i feel another trip to the US is due ๐Ÿ˜†

9 hours to machine the cassette?

Going to be pricey!

They have only just appeared on availibility for OEM buyers, so i think it will be several months minimum.
