The crankset on my roadie is a SRAM Rival GXP, and the BB has seized up. I only have a spare Shimano Tiagra HTII at the moment, which appears to fit fine with the use of another driveside spacer. Will this work or will I run the risk of killing the cranks as well?

If SRAM road cranks the same as the MTB cranks then the crank spindle is slightly tapered and won't work.
