I've a pair of WTB tyres in the garage (motoraptors I think) that have barely been used as soon after fitting they both had the sidewalls damaged in seperate incidents (at least I noticed the damage to each at different times). Is it worth getting a "puncture repair kit" for tubeless tyres and repairing them? I'll be running them with tubes.
I've used tubeless repair kits on a couple of 'normal' tyres that I'm still running tubeless and not had any issues so with tubes they shoudl be fine.
my cuts were max about 1cm though.
Over the weekend I fixed a small side wall hole with a bit of old inner tube . So far so good.
I've been using copter tape (I got 20m of the stuff, need to use it somehow) to repair rips.
Get some strong thread & a nice thick needle & sew it up.
I used Park Tools puncture repair squares and super glue.
