Hi All,
I have a 2023 Specialized Levo SL that is 18 months old. So far it has spent 2 months in the bike shop last year being repaired and looks like it will be off the road for another 2 months this year. Last year it has had a total of 3 new speed sensors over a period of 3 months and it looks like it has failed again 10 months later. Last year it also had a new motor, TCU and wiring harness but I think this mostly due to incompetence in the repair rather than necessary. Each time the speedometer varies wildly from 0 to 99.9mph, cutting the motor in and out and then cutting the motor completely with at motor error warning.
I have now rejected the bike under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 as further repairs would likely be out of warranty and cost ££££!
I understand speed sensor failures is something quite common, but 4 in 18 months? Does anyone else have an experience of this? What is other peoples experience with the Levo SL? Is it the same as the Levo?
Does anybody else have experience of rejecting an electric bike?
Thanks all for any feedback!
my mate chucked a hope magnet on his, and it literally would cut out on random climbs...
i think it was resolved after refitting the stock magnet
Is it the same as the Levo?
Dunno, but I've had 18 months trouble free with my Levo
And 7 years trouble free with my Kenevo
