Hi Gang,

Not done much lake district riding. There for a week soon (South Lakes). Can you please recommend some starter routes / loops?

Anything up to 30kish
Not too technical up or down
No hike a bike
Available GPX ideally

Staying not far from Coniston area.

Many thanks in advance and sorry if this info is already available on here.

Usual suspects if you don’t want hike a bike

1 torver to Stephenson ground over to Walna scar and back is excellent.
2 A day riding the bridleways in Grizedale also good. Could be two if you add some enduro trails
3 A day up and around claife is good.
4. Then a iron Keld and tilberthwaite ride.
5 Finally a blawith/woodland singletrack ride from Torver.
6If you can drive, a day in kentmere is worth it.
7 messing around Rusland can be fun.
All these are low level and can be done in the rain.

Many thanks - that is really helpful. Can you point to any GPXs?

the pedal north website has quite a few routes with downloadable GPX. I'd say it's worth taking a map as areas like Blawith Common & Iron Keld have a network of BWs so you can just work something out yourself.
