As I said in a previous thread, I am lardy after eating curries for 2 weeks solid (never stopped, continuous) The TT is set up but what's the most effective & efficient regime to use to shift the flab? I'm not 'counting calories' just eating sensibly (& less) & not boozing. Do i really need a HRM or not?

HIIT (High intesity interval training).
Something like this (a cadence and HRM is needed)

If you are not up to HIIT, then use the olde fat burn but less effective (supposedly) method of keeping your HR around 150 bpm max on a long steady spin.
And yes to get the best from a turbo trainer you need a HRM.
