All the talk yesterday about 'stuff the wedding' and 'we're off out to ride', I went out for two hours in the forest and saw three other riders! and they were together. The 'Huw Edwards Stating the bleedin obvious show' must've been riviting!!!
Well I was at work.
At home working.
It's been a tough week, so .......... reading, sleeping, seeing bits of the wedding, eating
was out for a ride with 10 others saw a good 11-15 others out solos and groups first day out on new geard hardtail...was intresting
Yeah it dead quiet out. I pelted around on my new road bike and the roads/tracks were empty. Then a quick blast in the forest singletrack on my HT and saw 2 people.
Brill
still bloody working
Red and Black at Kirroughtree, carpark busy when we got back but saw three other riders on the whole route.
Teaching my 4y.o. to cycle without stabilisers, watching cartoons, enjoying snooker. Off to pick the missus up from her work in 10 mins.
I really couldn't be bothered to be honest. I've done a few bits of reasonably productive stuff today though and I've already ridden 110 miles this week. I'll make sure I go out tomorrow morning for a good ride.
I was at the distinct disadvantage of not being able to go out, so spent the morning sat in the garden listenening to mrs B and the baby b's cooing at the TV!
A road ride out to Hope and then a walk up the Roman Road to Hope Cross for a picnic with my wife and the mutt. There was loads of mountain bikers up there.
Thanks very much to the married couple. Our day off has been top.
Spent most of the day in Swinley which was the quietest I have ever seen it.
I've been on a 15 miler on Dartmoor - not one other MTB'er seen!
However, on the road on the way there I must have seen about 25 roadies! (a group of which were the most ignorant bunch I have ever come across!!!)
I did 30miles in the hurtwood yesterday. So I popped the gym and watched the highlights ๐
I rode round the bluebell infested Chilterns - saw just one person on a bike, no walkers nothing. Perfect. Just got home and there is a thunderstorm over the house. Great timing.

I was there too and saw other mtb'ers on the trails, a few miserable walkers as well.
Bluebells were cool. ๐
i've just got back from a fantastic 48 mile ride to lulworth cove and back on my 456, it was great and i saw about 6 others apart from my three riding buddies. ๐

hope that link works.
I rode peaslake area today and it was practically empty. I enjoyed it like that though
26 mile of Cannock Chase's cheeky trails.Didn't see too many riders but then we were out for 7am.....
Would've been out had it not been for a nasty abscess in the gum, teeth are hurting and feel pretty ill. ๐ฅ Forced to watch the wedding instead. ๐
Was also at Swinley. Was nice to ride without too many people there. Around noon we were pretty much alone at the top of surrey hill for a good amount of time. Can't say I wanted to see any more of the wedding than I got from the highlights but Mrs Atlaz seemed to enjoy it at least.
Slept straight through my alarm so I missed the ride I was meant to be doing today but instead went to Aston Hill and had a very good dh ride ๐ Loads of people there and met a few guys to ride with who were friendly and helpful! Horrible push back up though.
Camping in the Lakes last night then up early for Whinlatter 2 red loops.
Excellent way to spend a Friday IMO
Right here watching the wedding all day.
I was out this morning, there was a fair few people out on bikes. Still pretty quiet though, especially the drive home - roads deserted, marvelous!
Been resting up after doing the Mary Towneley Loop yesterday.
Nothing worth watching on TV so read ST mag :)))
Cheers
gisburn, and so was every other biker in yorkshire/lncashire!! well busy - but smooth dusty trails so cant complain!!! ๐
Was going for a long road ride around the Forest of Dean, but my seat kept working loose, and the allen keys on micro tools just dont give you enough ummph imo. So went home got the MTB out and rode around some local trails for 80/90 minutes. Managed to find a huge wet puddle to have a low speed crash into as well. ๐
Out round Hayfield, saw a couple of others.
The wind though ๐ฏ ๐ก
Was like a gale up on top of the hills, hard work.
Road ride from home > up the cat and fiddle > buxton > Long Hill, Whaley Bridge and then back through disley and home. Lovely.
55-odd miles off road in the Peak - Middle Moor, Roych, Rushup, Hope Cross, WLT and Cut Gate into a mean headwind. Thought it was kind of quiet. I can't believe those wretched Royals chose a bank holiday to get married on, what's that all about?
I did a quick lap of The Wall at Afan and didn't see anyone else on the trail, just a few other riders in the car park before and after. It was absolutely perfect weather-wise there today.
Watched wedding
some bike fixing and a dog walk
street party
more bike fixing
will ride tomorrow, with son on his new bike, i hope...
I was watching the Snooker, then went riding in the afternoon.
