So, ignoring the effect of single-pivot, multi-linkage, platform shock, spring rates etc. If you were starting from scratch, what would be your rear-axle path of choice? Back and up? Up and back? straight up? Some crazy S-curve?
And, much like we know that steep angles are better for XC and slack angles for DH and trail bikes have a happy compromise, do different styles of bikes need different axle paths?
