Right hand SLX shifter for the rear deraillieur. When I shift to a bigger cog (using the bigger lever), the lever isn't returning to its default position. The chain & derailieur stay put, just the lever doesn't return. You can move it back and there isn't any resistance. Once back stays in position (until the next change)

At a guess, I'd say there is a spring that's come off inside somewhere.

Anyone else had this and was it fixable?

Before taking anything apart, check your shifter body's not being pressed upon by the brake lever, this can cause similar symptoms.Otherwise it may be gummed up, taking the covers off and flushing it out may help.

Had similar with an XT shifter; washed it out with washing up liquid and warm water, then lubed it with some sewing machine oil. It was just full of muck

Hmm, you could be onto something there with the brake lever. It did start happening shortly after an 'inelegant dismount'!

Can't take the credit myself, was shown it by Bubblehead (my now manager), somebody that we normally hide the tools from, and we'd never consider him a genius either 😀
