For those with a swift, do you run them SS or geared? I've a SS version, and have another hard tail bike (26er) with gears. I was thinking of putting gears on the swift and getting rid (or maybe changing for a full sus)the other bike. The swift I do like as SS, but need to keep another bike with gears on for steep stuff.

your preference really. as you point out, the swift can be run geared or ss. when i had mine i ran it ss, as i believe all bikes look better ss 😀

i just couldnt be bothered with the faff of cleaning cassettes, mechs etc after muddy rides, so decided id try and always ride ss. just got a gryphon as my only bike now and thats badly underused as i have to drive to any decent riding these days.

but.....back to your question..... if youre asking, then ss 😀

Mine's geared. Other than the first versions, they do both gears or SS anyway.

For these sort of do-it-all xc bikes then why not both? Geared for summer speed and ss for the rest of the time. I normally ride ss most of the time, but this time of year its just not fast enough so I'm back on gears.
