Not expecting a big response to this but would really appreicate a pic of the above. Need a new rack and the Bones seems to the choice of the masses.
Just woorried about the lights and plate not being visible.

fyi - you will indeed be obscuring the plate and lights. Either take the risk (as most seem to do) or buy a number board and get the electrics installed to plug it into. If you really want to remain totally legal, you should also mount a 3rd "high level" brake light at the same position as your existing one.
