Nahh, nothing much on ebay at all. Found ACI silvers for £15 .....Prefer black though

Having been shocked by the price of DT spokes for a pair of road wheels a while back, I got some black ACI d/b ones for about 1/3rd of the price of DT..... and they were nothing but trouble - coming loose/breaking at the elbow. Rebuilt the same wheel with DT Competition's and it's been fine.

No doubt someone will be along to say they've used ACI since the stone age and they've been fine, and that's fair enough, but I won't be buying them again.

I can get ACIs from Cyclebasket for £30.32 delivered..... That's the best I can find

I might just use the ones I have knocking around in the tool box, I think there's enough. I only paid £5 for a pair of wheels (Duff/cheap hubs) and I'll just be using the rims on some hubs I already have, so nothing to loose reusing the ones I have 🙂

As an aside, why do people always want black spokes? I think they don't look as good as silver ones. And they are more expensive!
Just building up my black Pro2's with black Dt rims with silver spokes. Looks ACE! And cheaper by £10 than the black option.

Fashion I suspect. rims are mostly black...

I like black. You like silver. It's just personal taste. 🙂

......ok, but why only black? Brown would be cool for my Pitch, or even better GOLD!!
